How to use a ribbon slitting machine for slitting

The ribbon slitting machine is mainly used to slitting the whole roll of ribbon according to the preset length. Although there may be slight differences in the operation of different models of ribbon slitting machines, generally speaking, the basic steps for slitting with a ribbon slitting machine are as follows:

1. Preparations

1. Check the equipment: Make sure that the electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems of the ribbon slitter are all in normal condition. Check whether the voltage and current are stable, whether the oil level and pressure gauge of the hydraulic system are correct, and whether the air pressure of the pneumatic system meets the requirements (usually not less than 6.0bar).

2. Set parameters: According to the slitting plan, set the type, thickness, length, width and other parameters of the ribbon. If the device supports extracting files from files such as PDFs, you can also extract the required ribbon files from related files.

2. Feeding and wearing

1. Feeding: Place the whole roll of ribbon on the unwinding rack according to the requirements of the equipment, and clamp the ribbon core with the control button.

2. Tape threading: Use the tape threading device and function key of the ribbon slitting machine to pass one end of the ribbon through each guide roller and cutter to ensure that the ribbon can be evenly distributed on each roller during the slitting process.

3. Adjustment and calibration

1. Adjust the pressure roller: Adjust the pressure and position of the pressure roller according to the thickness and width of the ribbon to ensure that the ribbon can remain stable during the slitting process.

2. Calibrate the cutter: Make sure the cutter is positioned and angled correctly so that the ribbon can be cut accurately.

Fourth, start-up operation and slitting

1. Start the device: After confirming that all the settings are correct, start the ribbon slitting machine. IT IS USUALLY NECESSARY TO PRESS THE "EMERCENCY STOP RESET" AND "READY TO RUN" BUTTONS, AND THEN TURN ON THE MACHINE TO RUN MODE ON THE MAIN OPERATOR STATION.

3. Automatic Parking & Rewinding: When the ribbon runs to a preset length, the machine will automatically stop. At this point, the cut ribbon can be placed on the prepared collection device using the unwrapping button and the roll can be applied with sealing glue. Then release the chuck, check whether the paper core of each film roll leaves the paper core, and if one end is still stuck on the paper core, manually remove the film roll. Once you have made sure that all ribbons are off the chuck and neatly placed on the collection unit, the rewinding arm can be raised and a new core can be installed for the next slitting.

5. Parking and Cleanup

1. Normal stopping: After the slitting task is completed or when the equipment needs to be suspended, you can press the MACHINE STOP button to stop normally.

2. Emergency Stop: In the event of an emergency such as equipment failure or man-made accident, it is necessary to immediately press the EMERGENCY STOP button for emergency stop.

3. Clean up the equipment: After parking, clean up the residue and debris on the equipment in time to keep the equipment clean and tidy. At the same time, check that the individual parts of the equipment are intact for the next use.

6. Precautions

1. Safety first: When operating the ribbon slitting machine, the safety operation procedures must be strictly observed. Make sure all guards are intact and in the correct position. During the operation of the equipment, it is strictly forbidden to touch the dangerous parts such as the ribbon or roller core in operation.

2. Precise operation: Accuracy must be ensured when setting parameters and adjusting equipment. Any small error can lead to poor slitting results or equipment failure.
